1) CASTIGLIONE DELLA PESCAIA
A charming seaside town dominated by a medieval castle and a wall enclosed ancient village.
The town is divided in half by the River Bruna which ends in a typical harbour, full of sailboats and its fleet of fishing boats.
The fine sandy beach, which stretches towards Punta Ala to the north and down to Marina di Grosseto in the south, is more than 10 miles long.
All of the beach area is backed by a rich dense pine forest.
This is the environment in which the Hotel Anfora
is situated. There is a large parking area reserved for residents and the 2000sq/mt garden is also at the guests disposal. The distance to both the sea and pine forest is 150 metres.
The hotel has 20 double and 6 single rooms, all with private bath
facilities, television set, telephone, balcony and elevator service.
Lunch and dinner are served in the spacious dining room, where guests can enjoy typical Tuscan cuisine. Breakfast is served on the
veranda, while the bar remains open for the guests convenience.
2)EXCURSIONS IN MAREMMA
There are several excursions available inland to the Etruscan cities and
excavations, for example: Sorano, Pitigliano, Sovana. Or you can visit archaeological sites and centres of historic interest such as
Populonia, Roselle, Vetulonia, Massa Marittima or Grosseto.
3) HOT SPRINGS

37 C (98 F) all year round.
4) PARKS AND OASIS
The 'UCCELLINA' natural park is surely the most varied and attractive of Italian parks.
It protects the most typical ambience of the Maremma. A visit is really a 'must'. So too are the
WWF oasis of 'Diaccia Botrona' near Castiglione della Pescaia
and the WWF oasis near Orbetello both worth a visit.
The Monte Labbro nature park is
characterized both by the beauty of the area and the historic presence of the origins of the 'Giurisdavidici'
religious sect formed by the fascinating prophet Davide Lazzaretti.
5) MONTE AMIATA
In the distance, Monte Amiata dominates the view. This is both a summer and winter vacation area, it rises to a height of 1842 metres.
La 'strada dei vini' (the road of wines) leads toward the inland cities;
Siena, Montalcino, Montepulciano and Pienza, all with their own attractions.
6) TRIPS TO THE ISLANDS
